Wow, who would have thought that I might delve into the idea of having a Web design and technology focused blog when for so long I’ve vowed not to go down this path. To be honest, this was a spur of the moment decision. I needed a new domain name to trail a new hosting company and what better way then to select one at random? Ok, so maybe the domain wasn’t entirely random, it does after all speak to a very real interest of mine, but as I said, I hadn’t intended on creating a new blog.
Who am I? I’m Rebecca Laffar-Smith, Web Technician and Designer. My business revolves around bringing small business into online media from hosting websites and domains, to setting up a businesses online presence, introducing new users to online media and technology, and even establishing Web presence in social media and marketing.
You may be amazed at how many small businesses benefit from having an online presence. Some business owners aren’t very interested in the trending of technology and are missing out on the influence a quality Web product or showcase can have on their business. Sometimes being a little Web shy can actually do your business harm. But the Internet is daunting, it’s huge, it’s technical, and it’s still very new to most small businesses.
And that’s where you come in. Do you need help getting around in an online world? Do you want to feel less pressure to understanding how it all works when you’re just getting started? Do you have Web technology, Web design, social media, or Web marketing questions? Do you need help setting up your email account so you can accept emails from customers? Do you want to know how to find out what your competition is doing online? Do you want to connect with those people who search online to find solutions your business provides?
I can help you in all of these days. And here at Web Tech ‘n’ Design I intend to offer tutorials, insight, and guidance for any Web user so feel free to ask your questions and contact me any time. I want to help you build your business, online and off, so that you can achieve the greatest success in our growing technological world.
