Add Site Explorer Authentication (Meta Tag Option)

  • Login to Yahoo Site Explorer
  • Add your site and locate the Meta Tag Code for authentication>
  • Copy the entire meta tag ()
  • Login to your WordPress Dashboard
  • –> Appearance
  • –> –> Editor
  • [Header] (found in the right margin of page names)
  • Add Meta Tag: Find the first tag. Paste Yahoo’s Site Explorer META tag on a blank line under the meta tags.
  • Ensure your tags are complete with < and > brackets.
  • [Update File

Now return to Yahoo Site Explorer and click the “Ready to Authenticate” button and wait up to 24 hours for Yahoo to complete the authentication.
